Scouts

Scouts have been thriving at Kingcase since a Scout Troop was formed by members of the Church in 1948.  Today we have about 80 young members and 12 leaders.

We provide adventurous activities and personal development opportunities for all our members including the chance to progress through different levels of achievement culminating in the Chief Scout Gold Award.

Scouts essentially is meant to be fun but for everyone to get the most out of it they need to work together so important social skills and self-discipline are gained along the way.

We are organised into four age based sections.  Beavers is for 6 to 8 year olds and meet on Friday from 6 till 7.15 pm.  From Beavers, members can progress to Cubs where they remain till age 10. Cubs meet on Thursdays from 6.45 till 8.15. Scouts are for 10 to 14 years olds and meet on Friday nights from 7.30 till 9.30.  The oldest age group is Explorer Scouts for 14 to 18 years olds.
